Sample pages & spreads from the catalog

This 124-page book catalogs artworks created by Judith A. Schwab from the 1950s to 2024. Classically trained in Western art techniques, Judith Schwab's work and methods incorporate painting and assemblages utilizing a contemporary palette of found and recycled objects, performance art, environmental site-specific installations, wood, painting, fiberglass, neon, natural materials, and synthetic media.

The author/artist writes about her work and her journey during a lifetime as a professional artist and teacher. This catalog contains over 250 color and black & white reproductions of her work, many from private and international collections. Judith Schwab's journey in the arts began in art classes in elementary school, then through art colleges, workshops, and graduate master's degrees, during which she studied drawing, painting, cartooning, costume designing, puppeteering, printmaking, illustrating, presenting her work via performance art installation events and sculptural constructions.

Mrs. Schwab sees her work and constructions as representations of the splendor and rawness of Nature. While Nature supplies materials and inspiration, Mrs. Schwab is also fascinated by the discarded materials of modern society, and her final work becomes a personal commentary on our times.
